Consistency is Essential
Understand that consistency is essential; nothing is achieved without it.
In nearly all self-help books consistency is a major role for improvement. One of the tenents for success, yet one of the habits rarely picked up. Conistency includes dedication to completing or being clear on your desired accomplishment while taking necessary steps to achieve it. Consistency is a commitment to both yourself and those around you to complete the goal or task. Consistency is also about proper repetition, regardless how you feel.
Reasons why consistency should be your habit.
- Develops discipline and control
- Builds trust
- Provides improvement
- Those consistent are noticed and recognized by others.
- Provides accountability.
Knowing the advantages of being consistent will not provide us the ability to be consistent. Here are some methods to help us be consistent.
- Know the goals you wish to achieve.
- Set aside time each week to use.
- Identify beneficial triggers to help motivation.
- Keep track of your progress and reach out for feedback and accountability.
- To help keep momentum, recognize and celebrate successes, regardless of size.
Regardless of your desired goal, consistency, self-accountability will be a tenet toward success. Start this today, and do not put it off till tomorrow. Because tomorrow will never get here. Find a goal and start practicing consistency now.
